CITB SSSTS Refresher Course Online

The SSSTS Refresher Course is a vital follow-up for site supervisors who have completed the initial Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) and need to renew their certification. This CITB-accredited programme is designed to update and enhance participants' understanding of health and safety practices within the construction industry.

Course Content
Participants will refresh their knowledge of key health, safety, welfare, and environmental responsibilities. Guided by an experienced instructor, attendees will revisit and strengthen their skills to confidently maintain a supervisory role on-site.

Topics covered include:

• Updates to the Health and Safety at Work Act
• Delivering effective toolbox talks
• Managing occupational health issues
• Promoting behavioural safety
• Addressing common on-site challenges faced by supervisors

The course includes all necessary materials, registration, and certification renewal.

Course Duration
The SSSTS Refresher Course is a 1-day programme.

Teaching and Assessment
The course takes an interactive approach, encouraging classroom discussions, case studies, team exercises, and group presentations. Delegates are expected to actively participate and complete assessments during the training.

Certification
Upon successful completion, participants receive a renewed CITB Site Safety Plus (SSSTS) certificate, valid for 5 years.

Entry Requirements

• Delegates must hold a valid SSSTS certificate that has not expired.
• A good level of English proficiency in reading, writing, and comprehension is required.
• Delegates must currently work in the construction sector.

• If a candidate does not pass, they can retake the test within 90 days of the course date (additional fees apply).
• Valid ID (passport or driving licence) is required on the first day of the course.
